The Wii Fit was not meant to be a replacement for a trip to the gym, according to Nintendo supremo Shigeru Miyamoto anyway. He did say, "I forgot to mention something important earlier: I don't think Wii Fit's purpose is to make you fit; what it's actually aiming to do is make you aware of your body." Being aware of my own body, eh? I suppose the warning signals are already there if I happen to drop my Wiimote on the floor and can't see it due to a bulging beer belly. Remember folks - if you want to lose weight, buying video games is not the way to go. You'd best work on pounding the pavement or the treadmill at the gym instead.
Permalink | Comment | Uberbargain | Uberphones ER: this is a cool statement, and actually even more important and relevent to having a shortcut to "fitness"
there is no shortcut in life,
no pain no gain..
after spending my 75 days' 30min each work on Wii Fit Yoga
i can testify to it.
Miaymoto san is exactly to the point on "making you aware of your body"
this "awareness" has change a few things of my lifestyle:
- Diet, (i'd consciously ate less fatty/meat stuff, changing to a cleaner diet..)
- Work hours, woke up at least 1 hour earlier, do the Yoga thing, shower, before leaving for work
- Sleep hours, forcing a earlier sleep time
- keeping a journal really helps on you underestand your cycles better (yes, guys do have their cycles.. also travelling does contribute much to that as well)
